Individual Coaching
One-on-one sessions designed around your specific culinary interests, cooking experience, and learning goals within Mediterranean and Middle Eastern tradition.
Learning shaped around you
The core curriculum gives every participant a structured foundation. Individual coaching takes that further by creating a direct relationship between the learner and an instructor, focused entirely on what the participant wants to develop.
Sessions cover whatever area of the curriculum is most relevant to the participant. Someone working on flavor balance might spend sessions exploring the interplay of acid, sweetness, and bitterness in Levantine cooking. Someone focused on presentation might work through plating techniques and visual composition specific to mezze and shared table traditions.
Coaching sessions are conducted online and do not require any specific equipment beyond a functional kitchen and the ingredients relevant to the session's focus.
What Coaching Can Cover
Technique Refinement
Work through specific cooking techniques with direct feedback. From achieving the right char on flatbread to mastering the slow simmer of a tagine, coaching sessions provide the focused practice that self-paced lessons cannot replicate.
Recipe Development
For those interested in creating their own recipes within regional frameworks, coaching can guide the process of building from scratch — choosing base ingredients, developing a flavor profile, and refining through iteration.
Seasonal Menu Planning
Coaching sessions can focus on building seasonal menus — learning to assess what's available, design complementary dishes, and structure a meal that reflects both the season and the culinary tradition.
Presentation & Plating
The visual language of this cuisine is distinctive. Coaching can cover how to think about arrangement, color contrast, texture layering, and garnish in ways that serve both the food and the occasion.
How to Arrange a Coaching Session
Individual coaching is arranged through direct contact. Reach out via the contact page or email, describe the area you'd like to focus on and your current level of familiarity with Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cooking, and an instructor will respond to discuss scheduling and session structure.
There is no fixed number of sessions required. Some participants find a single focused session addresses a specific question. Others choose to work with an instructor across multiple sessions as their cooking develops.
